Welcome to the Microbiome
Centers Consortium (MCC)

All Microbes. All the time.

What is the Microbiome Center Consortium (MCC)?

The Microbiome Centers Consortium is a cooperative, inclusive and collaborative network of microbiome centers that aims to accelerate the understanding of all microbiomes. We share and develop intellectual, educational, and technical resources and promote common adoption of data standards and ethical guidelines as the field of microbiome science moves from discovery to translation.

What role do microbiomes play in system health and resilience?
Can we alter microbiomes to improve environmental and human health?

To answer these questions, the field must uncover fundamental principles of microbiomes that will not be apparent by studying one system at a time. Addressing these challenges will require sharing knowledge, expertise and ideas widely among scientists and across borders.
