Welcome to the Education Resources page!
Here you will find searchable resources that support educators and instructors teaching microbiome sciences, and individuals new to microbiome research and analyses. Our vision for the page is to provide entry points for microbiome experiments, data, analyses, and past workshops.
To navigate through the resources, filter the content using Categories and Tags.
For example, you are looking for a platform with a graphical user interface. You can search the Categories of ‘Graphical User Interface’ and enter ‘Platform’ in the Search bar to filter through the list and display GUI platforms like Geneious, Nephele, KBase, and Cyverse.
Metabolomics Workbench
National and international repository for metabolomics data and metadata and provides analysis tools and access to metabolite standards, protocols, tutorials, training, and more.
PRIDE
Centralized, standards compliant, public data repository for mass spectrometry proteomics data, including protein and peptide identifications and the corresponding expression values, post-translational modifications and supporting mass spectra evidence (both as raw data and peak list files).
Mass Spec Data Center
Compiles, evaluates, correlates and measures Standard Reference Data and develops and disseminates associated electronic databases and analysis software for chemical identification and quality control for (a) electron ionization mass spectra and associated retention properties by the technique of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, (b) reference tandem mass spectra of ‘small molecules’ generated by electrospray and MALDI mass spectrometry widely used for biological analysis and (c) peptide fragmentation libraries that enable the identification of products of digestion of complex protein mixtures in the field of Proteomics.
Mass Spec Data Center
Products intended to assist compound identification by providing reference mass spectra for GC/MS (by electron ionization) and LC-MS/MS (by tandem mass spectrometry) as well as gas phase retention indices for GC
eggNOG 5.0
A hierarchical, functionally and phylogenetically annotated orthology resource based on 5090 organisms and 2502 viruses.
VAMPS
Integrated collection of tools for researchers to visualize and analyze data for microbial population structures and distributions
iVirus
A Community Resource Providing Access to Viromic Tools and Datasets
iVirus in CyVerse
Sequencing and analysis tools to help build viral analysis pipelines.
iVirus in KBase
Sequencing and analysis tools to help build viral analysis pipelines alongside dataset storage.
