By facilitating communication among microbiome researchers, the MCC aims to advance microbiome research, education, and knowledge transfer to the public and industry.

Microbiome science intersects with a wide range of societally important issues; therefore, there is tremendous potential for impacting society through the sharing of knowledge between centers.

Second MCC Meeting at the University of Chicago.

On March 23rd-25th 2022, microbiome centers from across the United States convened for the second MCC meeting at the University of Chicago. View pictures from the event below.

First MCC Meeting at the University of California, Irvine.

On June 25th-26th 2019, microbiome centers from across the United States convened for the first MCC meeting to share best practices and initiate coordination. The 2020 meeting has been postponed until March 2022.
